How should I prepare for my massage session?
You may have a more comfortable treatment if you arrive with a relatively empty stomach (no large meal beforehand) and well hydrated. Following your massage treatment, please be sure to drink lots of water!
No fun in rushing to relax… Please allow yourself plenty of travel time, time to locate the office, and to fill out a new-client intake form.
What should I expect from my massage experience?
Once you have discussed the plan for your massage with your therapist, you will be given the privacy to disrobe completely (or to whatever level you’re comfortable with) you will then get on the massage table, between the sheets. Once you are settled and ready for your massage, the therapist will re-enter the room to begin. If at any point anything is uncomfortable please feel free to speak up, communication is key and we want you enjoy your experience. When the massage is through, we will again give you the privacy to dress. Proper draping is always used for the comfort of client and therapist.
Should I tip?
Tips are, of course, appreciated, but are never expected. When clients do tip, we generally see something between $5 to $20 per session. That being said, many clients do not tip. It’s entirely up to you. We greatly appreciate and value referrals and regular appointments as well.
Does massage hurt?
In general massage should not hurt. If you are challenged with chronic pain or injuries such as tendonitis it is often worth a little temporary discomfort for long-term relief. It is completely up to you, if you would just like to relax, no problem. However, if you are someone who enjoys a lot of pressure our therapists can generally provide as much as you would like, within your comfort level. Again, communication is key.
What methods of payment do you accept?
You may pay with cash, check, paypal, or visa/mastercard. We do prefer cash or check.
